It’s almost time for the start of our Fall 2019 Coastal Communities Pickleball League season. Although we have added a community – Salt Pond, our number of players, in our two Divisions, remains at 313 on seventeen teams in fifteen communities. Kick-off is on September 11th and we will again play a seven week season.

Below can be found the Schedules for Divisions 1 & 2 and Driving Directions to each of the participating communities.

League player generosity raised a substantial amount of money since last season. The Cancer vs. Cardiac Survivors Challenge FUNdRaiser, held at the Big Chill in June, made possible a $2,000 donation to Beebe Healthcare in support of their new stand alone Emergency Department & Tunnell Cancer Center, which will open in early 2020 on Route 17 in Millville.

And, the League’s “Just $1 per game” campaign raised enough funds to award two $700. donations. Presentations were made at the CCPL Captains meeting, that was held on August 19th, at the Millville by the Sea Lifestyles Center. The first award was to the CHEER Center in Ocean View, in support of their Meals on Wheels Program. Accepting the donation was the Ocean View Director, Yolanda Gallegos.

The second check for $700. was presented to Anna Short, of the Delaware Center for the Inland Bays to help support the variety of progressive programs they run that help restore, preserve, protect, maintain and educate about our precious Bays, its inhabitants and its shores.
