And then there were 14 ! The Fall 2018 CCPL Schedule

August 2018 – contributed by Stan Piesla

comm captains meet

The schedule is set for Season 2 of the Coastal Communities Pickleball League.

The FUN continues this Fall with 12 communities now in the League. Captains for each of the communities involved met twice in the past month to review the past season, address questions & concerns, consider suggestions and develop the 7 Week Fall Schedule, which will begin on September 12th, and is provided below.

We are growing! New to the League are Bay Colony, Bayside, Savannahs Landing and Sea Colony. Welcome to All of you!

Two returning communities, Bethany West and Millville by the Sea, have split their teams, due to the large numbers of players they each have. Because of the popularity and growth, the League now includes two Divisions. With these two splits in mind, the number of teams is really 14.

There is room for future growth. If you are in a community or know of a community that may have interest in joining us for the next season (Spring 2019), contact can be made to either Stan Piesla at or Steve Costa at to receive complete information and details.   We’d LOVE to have you join us.

  1. Stan, thanks for the update and welcome to all new communities. I was ordering t-shirts for the Bishop’s Landing group from Pickleball Central the other day and I received a nice discount. This was possible because Don Creel, in working on t-shirt’s for the CCPL folks, had set up a “club” account. Quietly and steadily the CCPL is gaining recognition outside our immediate area. Could it be that collectively we are doing something right ?
    Thanks to one and all.

    1. Thanks, Byron. Really blessed with how things are running with the league. It’s a tribute to the captains and those who play in the various communities.
